All of Ashland’s education programs – undergraduate, master of education, doctor of education and professional development services – are recognized on a state and national basis. Ashland offers more than 30 program areas across the undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, master’s and doctorate levels and employ more than 65 full-time faculty. The undergraduate teacher education program is the largest academic program on the Ashland campus and has been NCATE accredited since 1973. The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) provides examples of permitted positive action, including placing advertisements where they are more likely to be seen by the members of a disadvantaged group or providing computer training courses to those over 60 because they may have had less exposure to training in the past. A positive outlook will teach you to be grateful for the good things in your work and life. Rather than jumping to a harmful conclusion, you can understand where people may be coming from. Positive Action operates on the philosophy that thoughts lead to actions, actions lead to feelings, and feelings lead to thoughts. With a positive attitude, you learn to see the thoughts behind people’s actions and why they may have acted the way they did. The Ashland University Dwight Schar college of education, which offers Pre-K through doctorate level courses, is one of the largest among independent and state institutions in Ohio. Positive Action is a comprehensive, school-based program for kindergarten through 8th grade students, which promotes learning through enhancement of self-concept.
